“As one cultivates qualities of centeredness, of awareness, of resting in the compassion of the heart; one sees that one does bad acts, one does good acts. One gets caught in things. One is free at other times, but behind it all: here we are.” – Ram Dass
Time to re:align our minds and get out of the rut they might be caught in.
Class Focus: Using a Kundalini kriya, shaking wrists, we dissipate any stir crazy emotions we may feel from sitting in quarantine and spark open the muscles of the upper back and shoulders. As we loosen up the old, stuck feelings in the chest we can lift that new energy up into the head to expand our minds to a place where we turn ourselves into rays of light again. Make halos overhead as you pivot in and out of Warrior 2's, star gazers, and wild things. This class sequentially builds from externally rotated poses to neutral poses to stacking balance postures including crow, side crow, Eka Pada Koundinyasana, Ghandaberundasana and Handstand. A great tonic to set the mind right.
