10.2 Holy New Moon. This is a time to be inviting in new things. New adventures, new beginnings, new everything!
Class focus: Shoulder and chest opening (flexion, extension) to begin thread with lots of inner thigh lengthening, skandasanas and rainbows galore to creatively move us around the mat. Use a strap or towel to warm up and blocks for loloasana (core). We build are arm balances sequentially with figure fours, fallen triangles, and a Bird of Paradise (BOP). Build up to headstand with a funky one legged crow added on top like a cherry. We finish with big backbends such as Simhasana (lions pose) to get into the upper back and work open the chest. Have you strap handy for this one beauties.
